Tasting Notes: This tea offers a light - bodied and delicate flavor. With more green leaves than a typical oolong, our Organic Jade Oolong blend is a USDA - certified organic delight. Oolong tea undergoes a unique process. It's semi - fermented, partially withered, and partially oxidized. The leaves are carefully picked at the perfect time and spread a few inches deep in baskets. These baskets are placed in the sun and shaken often to gently bruise the leaf edges, which promotes oxidation. Once the desired oxidation level is reached, the baskets are moved in and out of a charcoal fire to stop the process. Available in various convenient packaging options: 5 - count tin, 12 - count glass jar, 18 - count tin, 25 - count BPA - free and recyclable #1 canister, 50 - count BPA - free and recyclable #1 canister, 200 - count bag, and 1 - lb bag. Our tea bags are certified compostable according to the OK Compost, European EN 13432:2000 standard. They're biodegradable in an industrial composting plant, though suitable facilities might not be available in your area. The bags are not for home composting. Made from PLA (polylactic acid) derived from sugar cane and sugar beet glucose, they're Non - GMO certified by the Non - GMO Project. Caffeine Content: Low to Medium.
